The Lab World Cup Pick'em Bracket
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MAKING A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. THE CONTEST IS A CONTEST OF SKILL.
Effective date: May 22, 2026
By entering, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest.
The Lab World Cup Pick'em Bracket (the "Contest") is sponsored and conducted by 2767375 Ontario Ltd., operating as The Lab Movement & Sports Medicine ("The Lab" or the "Sponsor"), Unit 49, 4181 Sladeview Crescent, Mississauga, ON L5L 5R2.
The Contest runs on a contest platform provided by OPG Sports / TheBigTourney.com ("OPG"). OPG provides software and hosting services only. It is not the sponsor of, and is not responsible for, the Contest. The Contest is not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed by, or administered by FIFA, the organizers of the 2026 World Cup, any participating football association, Soccer World, or Boys and Girls Clubs of Peel. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
The Contest is open to individuals who, at the time of entry:
Employees and staff of The Lab are eligible to enter the Contest and to win a prize, on the same terms as any other entrant. The owners of The Lab, and any individuals involved in administering the Contest (including personnel of Inference Strategy Group and of OPG who work on the Contest), may participate but are not eligible to receive a prize.
The Contest is void outside Ontario and where prohibited or restricted by law.
The Contest opens for registration on May 25, 2026. The 2026 World Cup tournament is played from June 11 to July 19, 2026. The Contest concludes after the final match on July 19, 2026.
The deadline to submit predictions for each stage of the tournament is posted on the contest platform. Predictions submitted after a stage deadline do not earn points for that stage. To earn points for the group stage, an entry and group-stage predictions must be submitted before the first match on June 11, 2026. Entrants may register after that date but will not earn points for matches already completed.
The contest platform is the official timekeeper for the Contest.
There are two ways to enter, and they are equal in every respect. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or to win.
Method 1: Free entry (no purchase necessary). Visit the registration page at thelabwc26.ca/free-entry, complete the free registration form with the required information (name, email address, phone number, and any other requested fields), and submit your predictions on the contest platform. There is no charge for this method.
Method 2: Entry included with a VIP Discount Card purchase. Purchase The Lab WC26 VIP Discount Card for $25. One (1) Contest entry is included with the purchase at no additional charge. The VIP Discount Card is described in Section 10.
Both methods provide an identical Contest entry, identical access to make predictions, identical eligibility for all prizes, and identical chances of winning. Purchasing the VIP Discount Card does not provide any additional entries, points, advantage, or improved chance of winning.
Limit one (1) Contest entry per person, regardless of the method of entry and regardless of the number of VIP Discount Cards purchased. Purchasing more than one VIP Discount Card does not create additional Contest entries. Each entry must use a unique email address. Multiple entries by the same person, and entries that share an email address, are void.
Entries that are incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, submitted by automated means, or submitted in a manner that violates these Rules are void. The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, or not received for any reason.
The Contest is a contest of skill. Entrants predict the outcomes of matches in the 2026 World Cup tournament using the contest platform. Points are awarded for accurate predictions according to the scoring rules displayed on the contest platform. A live leaderboard ranks entrants by their total points across the tournament.
Winning depends on the skill, knowledge, and judgment of the entrant in making predictions. The entrant with the most total points wins. Chances of finishing in a winning position depend on the accuracy of an entrant's predictions relative to those of all other eligible entrants.
Entrants may earn bonus points by referring others to the Contest. Each entrant is given a unique referral link. When a person who uses that link completes a valid Contest entry, the referring entrant earns one (1) bonus point, up to a maximum of five (5) referral bonus points per entrant.
Referral bonus points are available to every entrant on the same terms, regardless of how the entrant entered the Contest. Referrals must be made using the entrant's own referral link. Bonus points are credited only when the referred person submits a valid entry. The Sponsor may withhold or remove bonus points for referrals it believes are fraudulent, automated, duplicated, or not genuine.
First place (guaranteed cash prize). The entrant who finishes in first place on the final leaderboard receives a cash prize of $1,000 CAD. This prize is guaranteed.
Additional prizes. The Sponsor will also award merchandise prizes, donated by a prize partner, to runner-up finishers. The specific merchandise items are selected by the Sponsor. The approximate total retail value of the merchandise prizes is $100 CAD.
The Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, increase the cash prize or add further prizes. Cash prizes are paid by electronic transfer (e-transfer) to the verified winner. Merchandise prizes are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and must be accepted as awarded. The Sponsor may substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value if an advertised prize becomes unavailable. Each entrant may win one (1) prize.
The first-place winner is the eligible entrant with the highest total points on the official leaderboard at the conclusion of the final match on July 19, 2026. Total points include points earned for accurate predictions and any referral bonus points. Runner-up finishers are ranked by total points in descending order.
Ties. If two or more entrants are tied for first place, the $1,000 cash prize is divided equally among the tied entrants. Merchandise prizes cannot be divided. If a tie affects the award of a merchandise prize, the Sponsor will allocate merchandise among the tied entrants in a fair manner, which may include awarding comparable merchandise to each tied entrant or applying a tie-breaking method.
Skill-testing question. Before being declared a winner and receiving any prize, each entrant in line to win a prize must correctly answer, unaided and within a set time, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor. The skill-testing question applies only to entrants in line to win a prize, not to other entrants.
The Sponsor's determination of scores, rankings, and ties is final.
Potential winners will be contacted by the Sponsor using the email address or phone number provided at registration, within seven (7) days after the end of the Contest Period. To claim a prize, a potential winner must, within seven (7) days of being contacted: respond to the Sponsor, correctly answer the skill-testing question, and sign and return a declaration and release confirming eligibility, compliance with these Rules, and acceptance of the prize.
If a potential winner cannot be reached, fails to respond within seven (7) days, declines the prize, is found ineligible, or does not comply with these Rules, that entrant forfeits the prize, and the Sponsor may award it to the next eligible entrant in ranking order.
The WC26 VIP Discount Card is a product sold by The Lab for $25. It provides the following offers: 25% off an initial chiropractic, physiotherapy, or osteopathy assessment; 15% off a massage; and a complimentary 30-minute personal training assessment with athletic testing. The VIP Discount Card is valid from June 11 to July 19, 2026 only. The total value of the offers on the card exceeds the $25 purchase price. Purchasing the VIP Discount Card is entirely optional and is not required to enter the Contest or to win.
A portion of the proceeds from each VIP Discount Card sold will be donated by The Lab to Boys and Girls Clubs of Peel. This donation is funded by VIP Discount Card sales. It is not funded by Contest entries, and there is no fee to enter the Contest.
Personal information collected in connection with the Contest is collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with The Lab's Privacy Policy, available at thelabwc26.ca/privacy-policy. Information submitted through the OPG contest platform is also subject to OPG's own privacy policy.
By entering, each entrant consents to the use of their first name and city or town of residence by the Sponsor and its partners for the purpose of announcing and promoting the Contest results, without further notice or compensation. As a condition of receiving a prize, a winner may be asked to consent to additional publicity (such as a photograph). A winner may decline that additional publicity without losing the prize.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it believes has tampered with the Contest, the contest platform, or the entry process, has acted in violation of these Rules, or has acted in a disruptive or unfair manner.
The Sponsor reserves the right, subject to any required regulatory approval, to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest, or these Rules, if fraud, technical failure, the unavailability or rescheduling of tournament matches, or any other cause beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control affects the fair conduct of the Contest.
The Contest and the contest platform are provided on an "as is" basis. The Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures, interruptions, or errors of the contest platform, registration system, networks, or any equipment used by entrants.
By entering, each entrant releases and holds harmless the Sponsor, Inference Strategy Group, OPG, the Sponsor's other service providers, Soccer World, Boys and Girls Clubs of Peel, and their respective directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damage, cost, or expense arising out of participation in the Contest, the use or misuse of any prize, or attendance at any Contest-related activity, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Rules excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
These Rules and the Contest are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute relating to the Contest will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
Registration and the campaign landing page are hosted at thelabwc26.ca using third-party website and registration software. Predictions, scoring, and the leaderboard run on a platform provided by OPG Sports / TheBigTourney.com ("OPG") at wc26.thelabsportsmed.ca. OPG provides software and hosting services only. It does not sponsor, operate, administer, or determine the legality of the Contest, and it does not collect, hold, or distribute Contest funds. The Sponsor alone is responsible for the Contest, these Rules, eligibility, prize fulfillment, and compliance with applicable law. Your use of the registration and contest platforms is also subject to the respective provider's own terms of use and privacy policy.
